ERIA – Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia

ERIA selected 7 startups from 4 ASEAN countries with unique solutions for regional social issues as winners of the One ASEAN Startup Award (refer to ERIA webpage). These startups are preparing reports on the social issues they address and their solutions as they expand into new markets or business models. Interns are encouraged to collaborate with the winning startups to support their research efforts.

Job Duties The working scope of research interns will include, but is not limited to:

1. Support in conducting literature reviews and gathering relevant data to inform research projects.
2. Collaborating with startup teams to design research methodologies and data collection instruments.
3. Support the ERIA and startup counterparts in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data using appropriate statistical techniques and software.
4. Support in the drafting of research reports with the main writing process will still be heavily subject to the ERIA’s startup counterparts.
5. Working closely with startup teams to ensure research outputs meet ERIA's standards for quality and timeliness.
6. Communicating regularly with ERIA team members and mentors to provide progress updates and seek guidance as needed.
